Nail art for beginners: 3 looks in under 10 minutes - by Elaréa Nails

Simple beginner nail art is exactly what I searched for two years ago while sitting at the kitchen table, trying for the third time to paint a moon manicure on my right hand with my left hand. It looked like an unfinished puzzle. I will tell it as it was.

Why beginner nail art is easier than you think

At first, I was genuinely sceptical about press-on nails. In my mind, they were those cheap plastic nails from the nineties that fall off after two days and damage your own nails. Not true.

My change of heart came through a friend. Over coffee, she put her hands on the table, and I thought she had just come from a professional appointment. She had not. She was wearing LACE BLOOM, a delicate, almost romantic floral set that looked freshly done.

It had taken her thirty minutes. Thirty.

That was when I understood that simple beginner nail art does not mean compromising on the look. You just need the right tool.

According to dermatology guidance, careful application and removal of press-on nails can be gentler on the natural nail plate than repeatedly applying polish and taking it off with acetone remover. That honestly surprised me.

I had always thought artificial nails were the worst thing for nail health. In my case, the opposite was true.

Since then, I regularly wear Press On Nails from Elaréa, and my own nails feel stronger than before. Ironic, right? You think artificial nails destroy everything, and in the end it was constant polishing and removing that caused the damage.

The everyday hero: look one in under three minutes

The first look is for days when you have no time. You need to leave in twenty minutes, your nails are bare, and you feel unfinished. For exactly those moments, I keep a set of CHERRY POLKA ready.

CHERRY POLKA is that playful cherry-pattern look that instantly lifts the mood without shouting. Not too much, not too little. Just sweet and put together.

Preparation is the key. Shape the nails, wipe them with an alcohol pad, choose the right size. That is it. Add glue, press, hold each nail for thirty seconds. Finished.

Three minutes. No brush, no shaky hands and no awkward quarter hour of holding your fingers in the air while hoping nothing smudges.

I now wear CHERRY POLKA for shopping, appointments and Sunday breakfast with my mother. It says I have my life reasonably together, even when I do not. That is exactly why I like it.

The Wednesday wow: look two with more glow

Some days, I want more than just nice. I want someone to look at my hands and think: wait, where did those come from? For those days, there is COSMIC SHIFT.

COSMIC SHIFT is an iridescent look that changes with the light. Sometimes violet, sometimes greenish, almost like oil on water, only more elegant.

I wore COSMIC SHIFT at a birthday last week, and my aunt, who normally has zero interest in nails, actually asked where I had them done.

That is the point with easy beginner nail art: it is not about learning complicated techniques. It is about choosing a set that does the whole look for you. COSMIC SHIFT needs no extra design, stamping plate or rhinestones. It is the design.

Still, I also wear COSMIC SHIFT for home office. There is no video meeting where I do not proudly move my hands into the camera at least once.

Sometimes it is the small things that save the day: a good coffee, a playlist that hits the right mood, and nails that shimmer when the screen light catches them.

If you are unsure about shapes, take a look at almond styles. Almond is universally flattering and suits almost every hand. I also love coffin shapes when I want a stronger statement.

Try things out. That is what press-on nails are perfect for: you can wear something different every week without hurting your budget.

The evening look: look three for a special occasion

Now it gets serious. You have an invitation, a date, a wedding, or simply want to do something good for yourself. For that moment, I recommend VELVET NOIR.

VELVET NOIR is a deep black, velvety matte look with instant drama. Not cheap black, not teenage gothic, but the kind of black you see in a French film when the main character sits in a Paris cafe and everyone looks.

That kind of black.

I wore VELVET NOIR last year to
